His record is found with the 1st. Regiment of the 1st. Brigade, Captain William Marc's Company pay lists. Newton, Benjamin. Public Service. He served as a juror Oct 1786 and Jan 1788 Lincoln County Court Pleas and Quarter Sessions, NC. Also received a pension for service as Captain American Revolution. Benjamin Newton was born 3 Feb 1748 in York County, PA and died in Rutherford County NC 20 Feb 1835. He was married to Nancy McCall.
